Tackle Review – Solar Tackle’s New Bow-Lite Landing Net

Having developed and engineered the iconic Bow-Loc landing net, which to this day remains one of the most sought-after landing nets available, the unveiling of a new net from Solar Tackle has been hotly anticipated, ever since news of the Bow-Lite surfaced some months back.

Designed as the ‘little brother’ to the Bow-Loc, which will continue to be manufactured, the Bow-Lite is sleek, stylish and lightweight. The key to its design is the weight, or lack thereof, along with an incredible stiffness, making the Bow-Lite a pleasure to use. A two-piece, 6ft carbon handle coupled with carbon net arms help to keep the overall weight down, further assisted by the precision-engineered, micro spreader block. The profile of the net itself has been altered slightly from the norm also, with the net being marginally narrower and longer than others of the same size. With almost all fish being brought to a waiting net head first, the Bow-Lite’s profile is designed to suit, further adding to the net’s usability.
