Swim works at Old Oaks carp lake

Carp fishing at Old Oaks

The pegs before

Between winter and summer the water level at Old Oaks goes up and down. This natural phenomenon has eroded a couple of the pegs, as mentionned by some anglers in their feedback.

We have just finished the work to repair them all. We first added first plenty of big stones to stabilize the bottom and then we covered it with a sandy/gravel top soil. Now they are all flat and safe.

& after the work!

I’d suggest anglers use banksticks, but switch to a rod pod from July when the ground will get hard as it’s baked by the sun.

Tight lines, Mehdi
