We had Duncan here last week at Bletiere for his first visit this year and what a week he had. With the weather seemingly not the best for fishing with warm sun and not much wind he had what can only be described as a fantastic week. Duncans catch came to over 1700 lbs of carp out and broke Glens previous record of 1200 pounds, well done Duncan. Here’s his feedback below;

Details of your catches: 75 Carp to 43lb 14oz, including 2 x 40’s, 18 x 30’s, 21 x 20’s, 33 x doubles and one single. Total weight, 1,740lb. Fishing days only.
Your best tactics/bait/rigs: Slack flourocarbon lines with light lead running rigs. Baiting on a “little and often” basis. Used 27kgs of boilies.
Were the facilities what you expected? First class as usual.
Were you happy with them? Absolutely.

General comments: An extraordinary week’s fishing and a trip that will long remain in my memory. My 8th week at Bletiere and will not be my last. At times, the fishing was prolific to say the least. I had 11 “double takes” and was pleased that John (and my wife!) were close by to give me a hand. A fantastic venue that I cant recommend highly enough.
