Big carp on the bank at Golden Oak

We’ve had really bad fishing conditions this week with really cold northerly winds and freezing nights with morning frosts so only did a few days fishing with our neighbour and friend Ben!

We caught some cracking fish, all in great condition and Ben ending the week with a 52lber and a new PB along with a Monster Perch!

We got slightly warmer weather the following week, which resulted in owner Ian smashing his personal best.

Ian broke BOTH his PB’s with a monster of a 53.05lb mirror carp and stunning 37.12lb common carp! To say he is pleased is an understatement and looking forward to soaking him with the PB buckets!!

Hope everyone is keeping well and can’t wait to see anglers over here catching these monsters!

Golden Oak is set in 32 acres of countryside in the heart of the Dordogne. It is a beautiful lake in a tranquil setting with quality accommodation. The perfect location for families as well as groups of up to 4 anglers to book exclusively for the week.
