A great start to the season
What a first week for Golden Oak with returning guests father and son Keith & Matthew. They started the week in 23°C heat wearing shorts and T-shirts getting sunburnt to finishing the week with -5°C night-time temperatures. With hail and snow storms and in full winter thermals, what a week of spring weather!
Despite the unpredictable weather, they both broke their PB with the biggest of 58.0lbs going to Keith, and Matthew with a 50.09lbs. They finished the week in a snow storm on an impressive haul of 35 fish, ranging from 20lbs to 50lbs!

It’s their second trip to Golden Oaks and both times they’ve broken their PB, hopefully doing it for a third time when they return in 2024.
What a great start to Golden Oak’s season, seeing all the fish coming out in great condition and looking good for the season ahead.
